Events & Programs

Our goal is to bring the community together with fun, family friendly, educational events that highlight the uniqueness of the area and the accomplishments of those who live and work here.

50th Anniversary Celebration 2023

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the West Kern Oil Museum, the museum will host a year of events in 2023. The events are meant to pay homage to our history, celebrate our success, and inspire future generations.

We will begin the celebration in 2022 by unveiling our new logo and branding. In addition, we will be working with volunteers, partners, sponsors, and the community throughout the year to plan a year to remember. Furthermore, the celebration will be documented and become a part of our 50th Anniversary publication. This publication will showcase our community in all its glory with photographs, unique stories, timelines, and more. The publication will be available in the following year.

We are looking forward to an exciting 2023!
